  • How to make your shows look truly professional by using our graphics system, Expressions

You’ll practice these skills by producing video projects in teams, taking on directing and other assigned crew roles. Once you learn these multi-camera studio production techniques, you’ll be able to book Open Signal’s HD studios for free.

Prerequisite: Intro to HD Studio Session #1.

Note: You must complete session #1 and #2 of Intro to HD Studio ( 6 sessions total) to receive HD Studio Certification and book time in the studios.

Instructors

Chris Fuzell Media Education Coordinator / Educator cfuzell [at] opensignalpdx.org (503) 673-8623

I teach the HD Studio and Field Production classes, providing a comfortable learning environment for all types of people. I can help you with learning how to produce a noteworthy program for public viewing.

For eight years, I've been working on media productions of various types. I enjoy capturing sports events on camera. If I were a movie genre, I would be a live music concert film, because I can't be without music around me.

Maxwell Brown Media Educator maxwell [at] opensignalpdx.org

I am passionate about our community's stories and providing the training needed to help tell those stories. For the past five years I have been been working in community media and have taught hundreds of people like you not only how to use media equipment, but why.

My favorite classes to teach involve the HD Studio, because I love the team sport aspect of live television production. Besides that I am an Apple Certified Final Cut Pro editor, an artist, a Blender expert and a nice person. If you see me around, please stop, say hi and tell me what you're up to. I am always interested in hearing about your productions! See you in the studio!

Vo McBurney Technical Support Specialist/Media Educator vo [at] opensignalpdx.org (503) 288-1515 x101

One of the first smiling faces that you will be greeted by when coming through the front doors, I can help you with everything from reserving our equipment to HD Studio technical support, and I teach FCPX Editing, Motion and HD Studio.

I currently work with a number of nonprofits. I enjoy competing in as many film fests as possible (and won the Portland 2015 Guignol Horror Fest).
