Opening Celebration: 'House Show' by Jen Tam

Opening Celebration: 'House Show' by Jen Tam

Join us for the opening of Open Signal's next exhibition: House Show, by artist and winter 2018 New Media Fellow Jen Tam.

House Show combines video projections, found objects and concert flyers to comment on Portland’s house show culture, as well as the city’s growing housing crisis.

This display of new work by Jen Tam attempts to create a safe space for people to express their feelings about the cultural shifts within the city as a result of urban development, gentrification and displacement.

Jen Tam is an artist, musician and comedian. She created House Show during her winter 2018 residency as part of Open Signal’s New Media Fellowship.

Thank you to The Oregon Community Foundation and The Jane Schiffhauer Charitable Trust for supporting the 2018-19 New Media Fellowship.
