Scare-A-Thon: Portland's Next Top Monster!

Scare-A-Thon: Portland's Next Top Monster!

Join the crew and help crown Portland’s Next Top Monster!

Are you ready to unleash your inner monster? Join Open Signal for our 4th annual Make-A-Thon, where community producers of all skill levels come together to produce short films in one day! This year we’re getting in the Halloween spirit — join us the weekend of October 4th for Scare-A-Thon: Portland’s Next Top Monster.

Bring original monster characters to life and capture their backstories in an audition tape as they go head-to-head to win the title of Portland's Next Top Monster! Three teams will film, edit, and deliver complete mini-features, with support from Open Signal staff and access to our equipment, sets, and spooky props (yes, monster masks are provided!). We’ll provide breakfast and lunch to keep your teams powered up for this race to the finish.

The following day, a panel of special guest judges will deliberate live to crown Portland’s Next Top Monster. Prizes and bragging rights await!
