Get a Spring TV Series on Our Cable Channels

February 06, 2017

Want to apply for a spring TV series on Open Signal's cable channels? Having an Open Signal TV series ensures that you get a regular time slot on our channels, and can reserve our studios at the same time each month.

You can apply online using our producer portal starting at 2 p.m. on Feb. 7 and ending at 9 p.m. on Feb. 22. Although we're closed until Feb. 14, we don't want to inconvenience you, so we've carved out some hours while we're closed when you can apply in person if you'd like. Times for applying in person follow below:

  • Feb. 7, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Feb. 8 through Feb. 10, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Feb. 11 and Feb 12, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Feb. 14 through Feb. 22 during our normal open hours (10 a.m. through 10 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and weekends between noon and 8 p.m.)

All series applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply for a series, please visit community.opensignalpdx.org and log in to your account. You can find full instructions here

Important information about series scheduling:

  • New producers are required to submit two shows to broadcast prior to applying for a series. This is intended to prepare you to be a series producer and to have the shows ready as back-ups when starting a new series. If you've already been producing content on your own, such as a web series, feel free to use old episodes for this purpose.
  • New series can only be monthly or a bi-monthly.
  • To apply for a series, you must set up a "series project" on your community.opensignalpdx dashboard. Only producers with active accounts at PCM can create a project. Contact Distribution if you need help.
  • If you choose multiple options for air time and production days in your series application, you may have a better chance of securing a series.
  • Spring series will run from April 1, 2017 through June 30, 2017.
