The 2019 Open Signal Make-A-Thon

The 2019 Open Signal Make-A-Thon
  • Cost: Free
  • Capacity: 45

Come celebrate the Open Signal community by making media together.

Join our second annual membership event, a down and dirty 'Make-A-Thon' where certified Open Signal Producers will collaborative with staff and each other to make a film in one day that will screen in our studio that night.

The Make-A-Thon will be a great opportunity for producers to learn, teach, be creative and join a crew. Three teams of 15 people will write, shoot and edit a 5-10 minute act, writing the script making the props and sets, then acting, filming and editing — all in just eight hours!

Team members will be randomly assigned to one of three teams, and each team will have Open Signal staff and experienced volunteers to help plan and manage their filming process. Each act will be kept secret until the screening. In order to ensure a completely original piece, only the transition from one act to the next will be released on the day of the Make-A-Thon.

Fuel will be generously provided throughout the day by our sponsors.

Be sure to also register for our screening party, which runs from 8-9pm.

This event is open to certified Open Signal producers.
