The first program of its kind in the state of Oregon, Open Signal Lab’s fellowship for Black filmmakers addresses the stark lack of Black voices in the film and television industry. It convenes six emerging filmmakers from Portland’s Black community for a 12-month fellowship, including professional training, mentorship and the development of new work.

Open Signal Labs' fellowship officially launched in July 2018 to provide training, mentorship, a stipend and much more for each of the six fellows. Read more about Open Signal Labs.
