XR is for everyone. Join the Party! Open Signal and our friends at Torch are throwing a party to celebrate the vibrant community that’s driving innovation in extended reality (XR), right here in the Pacific Northwest—and you’re invited.
Meet creators who are building AR & VR apps, talk to the developers, learn from the researchers and dive into experiences from the artists who are defining these new media and what they can mean for our lives.
What's more, Columbia Bank will be matching the first $500 of donations made at this event!
Even if you’ve just heard of AR or VR, these extended reality (XR) technologies are changing nearly every aspect of our lives. We are just beginning to understand how work, transportation, communication, or even how we present and interact with the world can be enhanced and enriched with virtual ideas and content.
To build these new systems that work for everyone we need you, your experiences, and your unique perspective as part of this XR revolution. This community event is for all experience and interest levels.
Join us for the XR party and you can:
- Meet XR creators from your community
- Try AR and VR technologies
- Experience immersive artworks
- Learn about more ways to get involved
We will also be hosting a discussion about XR beginning at 6:30pm that will be live streamed to our Facebook page. It will feature the following panelists:
- XR Developer — Sonya Neunzert
- 3D Creative Director — Spencer Lindsay
- Open Signal New Media Fellow — Tabitha Nikolai
- Open Signal Board President — Karim Hassanein
- 360º Documentary Director — Rachel Bracker
An ASL interpreter will be on-site for this event.
