Join Open Signal and the Regional Arts and Culture Council to learn more about Fresh Paint, a paid mural opportunity for emerging artists of color.

Join Open Signal and the Regional Arts and Culture Council on Monday, June 14th at 12pm to learn more about the call for Fresh Paint. Fresh Paint is a paid career development opportunity that provides emerging artists of color with an opportunity to paint their first public mural (no previous mural experience required!). This event will take place on Instagram Live via @regionalarts. Follow them to get alerted when we go live!

You’ll learn more about the selection process, how to prepare your application, and ask questions of program staff. Attendance is encouraged but not required.

To qualify for the opportunity, artists must live in the greater Portland metropolitan area (Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington). The selected artists receive a commission for their participation and are offered the opportunity to engage with a range of resources. Applications are due by 5pm PT on Wednesday, July 14th.

Learn more about the process here. Apply for Fresh Paint here (you will need to make an account with the RACC Opportunity Portal).

We also welcome you to join us for an information session over Zoom, taking place Tuesday, June 22nd at 6pm. Register here.
