Signal Share: Multi Camera Unit with Jay Cosnett

Signal Share: Multi Camera Unit with Jay Cosnett
  • Cost: Free
  • Capacity: 8

Join us for a skillshare on our Multi Camera Unit led by Jay Cosnett.

Building on our monthly member meetups, Signal Shares are a space for Open Signal members to connect! Each month, we gather with Open Signal staff, producers, supporters and special guests to catch up and share what we've been up to. All are welcome!

This month, join us for a skillshare led by longtime Open Signal producer Jay Cosnett. Jay will walk participants through using our Multi Camera Unit (MCU). The MCU is like a mobile studio, ideal for recording and streaming live events on location. This unit includes the DataVideo HS-1600T, 3 PTZ robotic cameras, Yamaha mixer, Atomos recorder/monitor and a MacBook Pro for graphics and streaming.

After attending the skillshare you will be certified to checkout the MCU for non-commercial content creation to be aired on our channels. Reservations for the MCU can made by calling our front desk for check-outs up to 7 days.

Open Signal is a Safer Space

Open Signal is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for the community. Open Signal is a Safer Space for people of color, immigrants, gender non-conforming, low/no income groups, houseless, people with disabilities, linguistically diverse and other marginalized communities who have experienced systemic racism, sexism, classism and/or oppression. We encourage the creation and sharing of content that expresses a wide variety of cultural, social, political and spiritual perspectives. Treating all people with respect and kindness is expected - even if you don’t agree with all perspectives.

We require all members of our community to agree to our Safer Space Community Guidelines and to be accountable for the impact of their actions on others who use the space. Physical and verbal abuse will not be tolerated. All threats will be taken seriously, and will result in removal from the facility.

If you have a safety concern to report, please talk to any member of our front desk staff, or complete our online form at bit.ly/opensignalsafetyconcern.
