Featuring:
golden lionheart: The story of community production spaces & socially engaged projects, including Sharita Towne’s Nun Studios and Melanie Stevens’ Black Whole Press and Independent Publishing Resource Center (IPRC). Deeply drawn to this subject because community production spaces, at their best, offer everyday people the opportunity to learn technical craft with professional equipment in a supportive environment and at a more accessible price point.
Celina Flores: Daisy is Latina, a woman, a single mom...in this Capitalist society, those are all strikes against her. But she's also a powerful individual who appreciates her beloved community. She's in the fight for the long term, and I want to show that against all odds, she's making strides to live the live she wants to live while supporting her loved ones.
Mariana Garcia Medina: A series highlighting individuals who have created spaces that reflect our culture, their stories, their challenges, and why these spaces are important to them in the community at large. There is so much joy, community in these spaces that reflect our Latine cultures, and it is beautiful to see Latine Oregonians create the spaces we longed as children.
Zoe Gamell Brown
Deenie Wallace: A short highlighting the disparity in caregiving responsibilities for working parents, with women often bearing the brunt of this workload despite full-time employment. The juggling act of a working mom preparing for her day, aiming to shed light on these everyday struggles. The broader pilot aims to further explore these disparities as the main character adjusts to her new job.
