Signal Shares are monthly meetups where Open Signal members connect and collaborate! Each month, we gather with Open Signal staff, producers, supporters and special guests to catch up, learn, and share.
This month's workshop, led by Sambaran Chatterjee, will introduce you to cinematography fundamentals, covering key concepts such as lighting, camera formats, lenses, exposure, color temperature, and camera movement. Explore how different tools and techniques shape visual storytelling while gaining practical insights into professional filmmaking. Whether you're new to cinematography or looking to refine your skills, this session will equip you with essential knowledge to enhance your creative work.
Born in Kolkata and raised around the world, Sambaran Chatterjee works as an Analyst by day, and pursues his passions of comics, film and photography whenever he can in the great metropolis of Portland, Oregon. Sambaran is known for is known for Left Coast Comedy (2023), A Cup of Tea (2020) and Call Harry (2018)
