Start producing your own content with Open Signal’s community resources! Producer Orientation is the first step in accessing our certification classes and equipment library.
Ready to start producing your own work with the support of Open Signal’s equipment library, professional studios and knowledgeable staff? Producer Orientation is the next step in your media making journey! In this session you'll learn about our shared community resources, get familiar with our policies and procedures, and set up your Producer account. We’ll guide you through the opportunities available at Open Signal so you can confidently move toward your creative goals.
As an Open Signal Producer, you get access to skill-building classes that certify you to check out professional equipment from our library of production resources at no cost, including:
- Intro to Studio Production
- Field Production with the Panasonic Professional Camcorder
- Editing with Final Cut Pro X
You’ll also connect with our vibrant community of media makers for collaboration through events and volunteer opportunities. Whether you're creating your own original content or building experience supporting other Producers with theirs, you'll be part of a supportive network creating independent work for broadcast on our cable channels and beyond.
Producer Orientation is required before registering for certification classes or accessing equipment and studio resources.
