Open Signal Labs is proud to announce the second year of its Black filmmaker fellowship cohort, digitally convening six emerging artists based in Portland. 

2020 Open Signal Labs Fellows Ansar El Muhammad, Joshua Hatkin, Simon Reta, Jordan Thierry, Kaylah Wilson and Masimbaashe “Cookie” Zvovushe will take part in this virtual panel held via Zoom with special guest Crystal Rose Holmes (pictured above), producer of Legion (FOX) and post-production supervisor of Black Lightning (CW) and Fargo (FX).

The panelists will discuss working in the film and television industry, now and in the post-COVID era, followed by a brief opportunity for viewers to ask questions.

Crystal Rose Holmes is a television producer who specializes in post-production. Over her 14-year career in network television, she has produced shows for NBC, ABC, Marvel, Bravo Network, E! Entertainment, DC Comics and more. Crystal started her career as a post-production assistant for the hit television show House on Fox. From there, she went on to work on Covert AffairsLegionFargo and Black Lightning. She is currently producing Season 4 of Grownish, starring Yara Shahidi and Season 3 of AP Bio starring Glenn Howerton. Crystal Rose is a graduate of Columbia College Film School who hails from the best city on the face of the planet: Chicago, Illinois
