Winter 2024 Production Cohort Info Session

Winter 2024 Production Cohort Info Session

Learn all about our Winter 2024 production cohort to see if it's right for you!

Our free production cohorts provide a support system for media makers with a story to tell. This opportunity is open to individual media makers, teams and nonprofits who have a video project in mind but would like to learn more about production. Join us at Open Signal to learn more about the cohort from Community Media Cohort Facilitator Melissa Salazar. We'll cover the timeline, application process and expectations for the program. Read more about the cohort here.

Through the cohort, you'll work one-on-one with an Open Signal facilitator to determine your project needs — we offer training on video production (including post-production), equipment kits for check-out, and biweekly check-ins with your facilitator. Your facilitator will help you move through the production process and tailor our media education to your project.

Applications for the Winter 2024 cohort are open November 9th - 23rd. The cohort will run from January 2024 through June 2024.

The cohort aims to support storytelling rooted in the lived experience of communities that have been historically excluded from mainstream media:

Open Signal is an inclusive space, this program is open to all media makers.
